What is your Cancellation Policy?

We have a two week cancellation policy. Any reservation cancelled within 14 days of the reserved arrival date is subject to be charged for the total amount of the booking. There are no refunds for early departures for any reason.

How do I make a reservation?
You can check availability and book online at www.ashevillepines.com or call us at (828)645-9661


What time is check in?
Between 3:00pm and 10:00 pm. If you need a later check-in send us an e-mail or call the office to make arrangements to get a key at (828) 645-9661


What time is check out?
11:00 am.
Check out later than 12:00pm is considered another full day.


Do you accept debit and credit cards?
Yes, Visa, Master Card, and Discover. We no longer accept American Express


How do we get keys?
Check-in at the office between 3:00pm and 10:00pm or make other arrangements by email (thepinescottages@gmail.com) or phone (828) 645-9661.


How close to the room can I park?
Each cottage has its own parking in front of or right next to the cottage.

Are any of the cottages in a private, isolated area?
No. The Pines Cottages is in an urban area, close to everything. But our cottages are located on 4.6 acres with mature trees and gardens, offering an oasis with all the advantages of being close to downtown. We are bordered by two roads and we have some road noise. If you are sensitive to noise please ask us which cottages would be best for you.


Are the cottages air-conditioned?
Yes. In addition most mountain nights are cool.


Do the rooms have Telephones?
Our rooms are intentionally phone-free. However, there is good cell service.


Is there a washer and dryer?
No, at this time we do not have a laundry facility available to our guests. There is a list of nearby laundry mats  in the guest book provided in your room.


How many people do the cottages sleep?
Our cottages sleep from 2 to 8 depending on the cottage. Some cottages also have sleeper sofas.

Is there a minimum night stay?
We take one night stays during the week 2 night minimum stays on the weekend and often require a 3 night minimum on holiday weekends.


Is there a fee for more than the allotted occupancy?
Yes, $10.00 per person per night.


Do we need to bring towels and linens?
No, all linens and towels are provided.


Do you have a port-a-crib or high chair?
Yes.


What type of heat do the cottages have?
All of the cottages have natural gas heat and 5 of the cottages have wood-burning fireplaces as well.


Do you have to buy firewood?
We provide the first bundle of wood (5 pieces) free of charge with firestarters and additional bundles are available for $5. Wood is available September-April.


Is there cable?
Yes.


Is there a DVD or VCR in the cottages?
No, but there is a DVD player available (at no charge) to check-out in the office as well as a selection of DVDs for your enjoyment.

Do the Cottages have Internet connection?
Yes, free wireless is provided.

Is smoking allowed inside?
No, there is no smoking in any of our cottages. You may smoke outside and ask that you please use ashtrays that are provided. There is a $150 cleaning fee for smoking in our cottages.

Is the kitchen equipped?
Yes, all pots, pans, dishes, and utensils are provided. There is a refrigerator, stove with
an oven, coffeemaker and toaster in the kitchens. There are several charcoal grills on the property for our guests use. You will need to bring paper towels and napkins.


Are any food items provided?
We provided coffee for the first morning, creamer and sugar packets. There is a grocery store 1 mile away.
